Competitive Leaders - National Champions
The purpose of the Program is to establish in Kazakhstan competitive, export-oriented productions of non-oil and gas sector by forming companies on a regional and world scales. The Program is developed in the framework of «National Champions»implementation - Initiative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev, declared at the enlarged meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on 5 May 2015.
Participants of the Program will be provided with financial support, which proposes application of «National Managing Holding «Baiterek» JSC instruments, in particular, interbank lending (by lending via second-tier banks), financing of leasing transactions, subsidizing of interest rates, lends support, export insurance, grants for innovations.
Moreover, selected companies will be provided with consulting support in cooperation with McKinsey&Company. The participants will get acquainted with advanced experience in management, receive specific practical recommendations from a leading international company rendering services in managerial consulting.
Another instrument to support the participants of the program will be coordination with state authorities in elimination of industry-wide administrative burdens.
As it was announced at the meeting of Management Committee on 3 February 2015, over the last two months in cooperation with McKinsey&Company there was a selection among home manufacturers of three industries: agricultural sector (including food industry), machinery construction and building materials production.
From over 300 applications there were 32 companies selected, where 20 companies are from agricultural sector, 7 – from machinery construction and 5 – from building materials production.
On 18 May 2015, the list of participating companies was approved at the Management Committee of the Program. (See the list of the companies below).
